Congress Game Plan

The top Congress leadership in New Delhi had given a go ahead for the formation of a Separate Telangana State which will bifurcate (or trifurcate) Andhra Pradesh state. Lot of politicians and Andhrites have accused the Congress of annr Founcing it suddenly without taking everyone into consideration. I discussed this in my previous post Politicians Ditching Telangana Again?.

When a party like Congress which is more than 100 years old takes a decision, they take that decision after due deliberations, getting reports from State Intelligence, Intelligence Bureau, etc. If we analyze the history of Congress party, they might have very very rarely taken back a decision.


The point here is our Future Prime Minister, Mr.Rahul Gandhi is all for smaller states. He has understood that smaller states only be easily developed than states that are bigger than more than 100 countries. That's one main reason why he was supporting a separate Bundelkhand state to be carved our of Uttar Pradesh. If they start directly with Bundelkhand, people would criticize that Congress is doing this only for the sake of Rahul Gandhi. That's one reason they wanted to start this process with a Congress rules state like Andhra Pradesh. Also, Uttar Pradesh has around 80 MP seats and Congress has very less number of MP seats from UP. So, if they trifurcate UP, it is an easy gain for Congress.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Ms.Mayawati understood this clearly and she only came forward to trifurcate the state to snatch the points away from Congress.

Formation of Telangana is just like a pawn in the larger political game that Congress has just started. They are going to split lot of states where Congress is weaker.

It is better Andhra politicians understand this game plan and get used to living in a state whose capital is NOT Hyderabad !!

Stubborn Politicians

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Supremo, Nara Chandrababu Naidu is taking a tour of the entire state naming his tour as "Mee Kosam" (For You) and trying to connect with ordinary citizens of the state - which he had not done during his 9 years of rule. During his rule as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, he concentrated more on the cities and completely ignored the plight of farmers thus facing a wrath of villagers and losing power to the Congress Party.


Presently, he is touring Vizianagaram District and yesterday, a small village, Devupalli was the stage for the Supreme Polit Bureau Meeting of TDP. Generally, the high level meeting takes place at its head quarters in Hyderabad. The urgency of the meeting was due to various statements by the members of polit bureau on the issue of separate Telangana State. While Devender Goud, who belongs to Telangana wants the party to issue a statement supporting the separate state, other members like Yenamala Ramakrishnudu, Yerram Naidu (belonging to Andhra Region) and K.E.Krishna Murthy (belonging to Raayalaseema Region) vehemently opposing the separation.

The meeting was held in a luxurious bus that Naidu is using for his "Yatra". While the formation of separate is gaining momentum and almost all the political parties are supporting it, TDP and CPI(M) are the only two political parties who are not able to tap the sentiments of Telangana people.

While Naidu, in a press conference after the meeting agreed that "Telangana sentiment is there in people", he once again repeated his regular quote that "TDP will take a decision after due deliberation and right decision at right time".

I think right time is running out as the next general elections are just 6 months away. It is time politicians shelve their stubbornness and take the sentiments of people seriously.

Future Telengana Chief Minister Dies

Khairatabad MLA from Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly, Mr.P. Janardhan Reddy passed away an hour back due to a massive heart attack.

He was attending a Congress Party program when he collapsed due to low blood pressure. He was rushed to Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences where he was brought dead. Doctors concluded he died of heart attack.

He has represented Khairatabad Assembly constituency for almost 20 long years in the state assembly.

He is one of the senior most leaders of the Congress Party in Andhra Pradesh state. Of late, he has been campaigning for separate state of Telengana and is one of the "Hyderabad Brothers" - the other being Sanathnagar MLA, Mr.Shashidhar Reddy.

Even though he has the mettle to become the chief minister of the state, internal politics in the Congress Party never let him occupy the coveted post.
He is one of the most reachable MLA's in the state assemble and is considered very close to the poor and downtrodden.


Andhra Pradesh has lost a very able Leader and a great set back to the pro-telengana elements in the Congress Party.
He would have become Chief Minister of a separate Telengana state.

Why Are These Bastards Elected ??

Due to one small altercation, 16 children perished in the Government run Niloufer Children's Hospital in Hyderabad.

The person in the eye of the storm is Karwan MLA, Mohammed Afsar Khan (Honourable Member of Legislative Assembly in Andhra Pradesh State). I thought it prudent not to put his image here so as not to scare away readers of this post.

The trouble started when one person, Juwaid Khan brought his daughter to the hospital for treatment. At that time the doctors were busy and he started an altercation with the doctors accusing them of not caring for the child and thrashed the Doctor on duty. The Doctors complained to the Police and Juwaid was immediately arrested by the Hyderabad City Police.

Now, the honourable MLA, who is elected by the people comes with a compromise formula and during heated arguments, his goons thrash few more senior doctors. The MLA himself looses cool and manhandles one Dr. Suresh in front of the Police. This incensed the Doctors and they went on a flash strike.

The police books a case just under nuisance sections while the doctors insist he be booked under criminal offense as he had manhandled doctors.

It is to be noted that this same honourable MLA is involved in an attack on writer, Taslima Nasreen on 9th August at Hyderabad.

Being from Muslim community, the Government was not ready to arrest the MLA, which might lead to riots in the old city.

Meanwhile, 16 innocent children died past couple of days due to doctors strike and non-availability of essential medicine.

Who is to blame for all this ?? The MLA or the Doctors or the Government who is not in a position to arrest a person who instead of maintaining decorum and dignity, uses filthy language before the media and provokes his goons to attack doctors and police.

Why is this insane person getting elected by the Muslim majority population of his constituency ? Why is this guy so violent and doesn't follow any written laws and why is the Government standing naked in front of him ??
