Congress Dumps Telangana - AGAIN !!

Congress Party for the nth time had dumped Telangana state.

The Central government on Wednesday said it wants to consider “all views” on the demand for a separate Telangana state and “peace and tranquility should be maintained” in the state.

Home Minister P Chidambaram gave a short statement in New Delhi on Wednesday, effectively putting the demand for a separate Telangana state in abeyance. “At a meeting of all political parties on December 7 a consensus emerged on Telangana. The situation has altered now,” he said.

“Centre wants to take all views before coming to a decision. Peace and tranquility should be maintained,” he said.

Congress dumps it on Andhra leaders

The Congress said on Wednesday that Telangana was an old issue and it was for the collective political leadership of Andhra Pradesh to resolve the situation that has arisen due to regional divisions over its proposed statehood.

Congress spokesman Manish Tiwari said it was for the "collective wisdom" of Andhra Pradesh leaders across the political spectrum to "sit down and form appropriate solution."

Answering queries about divisions in its Andhra Pradesh unit on Telangana, Tiwari said that it was an old issue which has been grappled by "generations of leaders of the state."

He refused to comment on the remarks of Home Minister P Chidambaram, made earlier this month, giving principled clearance to the demand for a separate Telangana state.

Faced with deep divisions in its ranks in the state, the Congress has been trying to come out with a compromise formula to bring down political temperatures. The Congress core group met Monday evening while senior leaders met party president Sonia Gandhi Wednesday to evolve an appropriate response.

Congress sources said that the meeting at Sonia Gandhi's residence was attended by Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, Defence Minister A. K. Antony, Chidambaram, Law Minister Veerapa Moily and Ahmed Patel, political secretary to the Congress president.

Why only Congress? Almost all the parties which supported Telangana before now wants united Andhra.

If 'Telangana' means 'land of Telugus', what language does the Andhra people speak?

When the entire Andhra people Tax Money was put into developing Hyderabad ('City of Nizams') as one of the major IT Hub of India, how can you claim that to be yours just based on it's physical location?

First of all, why do you want a Separate Telangana? Could be because some of your districts are underdeveloped. So, whereever we have a similar problem people can start asking for a separate state is it?

Are you 100% sure that if you get separate Telangana, the politicians can set things right? If you believe so, no one can help you. Already you would seen how the politicians behaved in Telangana matter.

If you could do all the unlawful violence and war for a separate Telanga, cause damage to public property and loss to lakhs of people by calling bandh, you could have done the same thing to get whatever you wanted for you state. Why didn't you do that? Your aim is to get separate state or develop your districts?

If suppose you get a separate Telangana, how will you share the water between you and Telangana? I'm sure that will be another major issue then. You both will fight for the water. One will try to construct dam and other will oppose and it will continue forever.

And finally, since you guys have started attacking the film shootings, who does Tollywood belongs to?

Yes...All the people who gave their support have backtracked. This is wrong. As a leader, they need to stick to their words.
I only mentioned the meaning of Telangana. I don't know the meaning of Andhra.
Hyderabad was first established by the Nizams 400 years back and it was 5th largest city in India during the partition. It was the richest Kingdom at that time. Andhras who migrated (along with my parents and grand parents) to Hyderabad have only got jobs and the city had grown according to the population and its needs.
Hyderabad is in the middle of Telangana and so, there is no way it can be made a common capital. It is just practically not possible.
Entire Telangana is under developed leaving Hyderabad. Migrating to Hyderabad, Andhras have only bought up the lands which are now worth crores of rupees. Telangana needs heavy Industries which generate thousands of jobs. Not S/W companies where 80% of people who are Andhras again !!
Violence is a part of any agitation. Happens everywhere in the world. Even Andhras burnt buses and Railway Stations. Why only point people from Telangana ??
Water sharing would be taken up by the Central Water Commission.
Film shootings of only those irresponsible people who have given statements against Telangana were attacked. Others were not touched.
It is better that actors behave like actors and they don't use filmy dialogues in politics.

I blame Andhras too for the violence...

Even actors are humans and they also belong to either Telangana or Andhra. In a democratic country everyone has the right to speak their mind. You can't ask everyone to say what you like or want. Even in Telangana, are you sure you would get 100% vote for a separate Telangana from the common people? I bet you can't...coz I have many friends who support United Andhra.

You didn't answer my main questions related to Telangana and why you need it? And one more question, why didn't you get a separate Telangana when BJP was ruling between 1998-2004?

I agree that actors are also Humans. But no other actor spoke - right ?? The difference is Mohan Babu is a politician-actor. He's already installed his sons in his place in movies and now, he needs a different job. That is Politics.
He is only positioning himself in future Andhra Pradesh (minus Telangana). Even for that matter, Chiranjeevi is doing and and even Naidu with his stoic silence.
I bet all those friends of yours who support Samaikya Andhra have their family backgrounds in Andhra (same as mine). My Dad is from Guntur while my Mom is from Tenali.
Even some of my Hyderabadi friends whose background is similar to mine, support Samaikya Andhra.
If you read my earlier post on the history of Telangana, you would get my answer regarding Why Telangana. 1st SRC was against the merger of Andhra State and Hyderabad State (Telangana is the Telugu speaking areas of Hyderabad State). Still they merged it forcefully. Then they brought up the Gentleman's agreement which states that Telangana can de-merge whenever it wants and also a review after 10 years. Both of these are not done. We are bearing the mistakes of our forefathers.
When BJP was in power in center, TDP was in power in the state. TDP was dead against Telangana. So, BJP had to shelve the plan. If TDP was supporting separation then itself, we would have got Telangana long back.

I want every one united.
You will call yourself as Indian and you donate blood to the people. Why?? If you have such feeling(separate Telangana) then don't do that.
Politicians ka saath doge to tumahara hi nuksaan hai.Woh kabhi kisi ke nahi hue bus unka ek hi kaam hai "phoot dalna".Kisi ko milkar rehte hue dekhkar unhe jalan hoti hai.
Aur shaayad future mein agar telangana ban bhi gaya toh tumhare jo kareebi dost hain shaayad unme se main bhi ek hoon tumse kabhi nahi mil paaoongi.
Kya bharosa hai ki telangana banane ke baad woh kahe ki Hyderabad mein sirf telugu bolne waale rahenge.Tabb kya karoge..
Jaaoo Politician ko jaakar poocho..

Sabhi log apni sochte hain.Bechare unka kya hoga jo bachpan se Andhra Pradesh mein pale-bade aur boodhe ho gaye hain.Unko kahaan jaana padega..Kabhi socha hai..

Main abhi bhi yahi kehti hoon Politician par bharosa karoge toh pachtaaooge.

KCR jaise "Politicians" kamine insaan ko to narak mein bhi jagah nahi milegi...

Bhagwan kare ki unki aisi bhayaanak maut ho ki logon ko pata chal jaaye ki kisi ki badhuaan milti hai toh kya hota hai.

Main sirf ek hi baat kehna chahiti hoon ki "Hum Sabhi Ko Milkar rehna Chahiye".

Hum ek ungli se kuch utha nahi sakte,ek muthi bankar bahut kuch kar sakte ho.

Mujhe Samaikya Andhra chahiye.

Jai Hind.

Sheetal,
No one has to right to tell others to leave the state. As per Indian Constitution, we are eligible to live anywhere we want in the country.
Even Telangana Leaders are repeating the same - We will all live together happily in Telangana. They never said that Andhras or others should leave Telangana.
By the way, I have more Andhra friends than Telangana friends only for the reason being my parents were from Andhra and we were brought up in areas where there were many Andhras.
It is not the question of being united Sheetal. We are living in a forced marriage which we know we are failing but keeping it alive just to prove we are united. I hope you agree that this is not right.
Politicians are Politicians whether it is KCR or YSR or Sonia or Lagadapati Rajgopal. They are all the same. We need to find out how we can gain from them.
This is not an emotional issue. This is purely an economic issue. Andhras are making this emotional saying that we are breaking the country. This is ridiculous. We are only saving a failed state.

Well said Sheetal. These people are fighting violently for a separate Telangana now. Why they haven't fought for the development of the underdeveloped state like this before? It's just because KCR want's to be a Chief Minister. Even Andhra politicians are no less....they don't want a separate Telangana as they have all their property in Hyderabad.

These politicians want everyone to follow them, otherwise they will beat. There are few parties like this in India like RSS, MNS, KRV, PMK etc. I really pity the students who are also spoiled by them.

I read a statement by KCR's son-in-law today which said that if Chiranjeevi comes to Hyderabad, Osmania students will beat him. Are Osmania students goondas or they work for KCR? If he wants, let him go and beat.

//No one has right to tell others leave the state//
As if everything is happening rightly....

If Telangana is separated, anybody can live happily in Hyderabad but only thing is they will take away your property or wealth if you are not a Telangana guy.

You can't get any job by merit. They will give only preference to the Telangana guys. In Hyderabad, I haven't seen any IT company asking for your native place and give job only if you are a Andhra guy. So when Telangana is separated, I won't be surprised if the IT companies start asking for the native and caste while submitting resume.
